The Secret To Losing Weight!

I'm going to be down right honest with you about my secret to losing weight. There is NO secret. WE (you and I) know what it takes to shed the pounds. The solution is really simple, but mentally difficult for the majority of us to commit to. Why? This I will never fully understand, because everyone wants to do less than what is actually required of us in order to achieve our fitness needs. We are all different; and therefore, takes a variety of ways for all of us to strategically achieve.

It's not about dieting! It's about understanding a lot of things. What are we putting in our bodies and what is our daily activity consist of ? How much of "WHAT" are we putting into our bodies in comparison to how much daily activity? I'm going to say this another way... Exercise + Delicious Healthy Unprocessed Food that supports our body and helps it to reproduce healthy digestive, neurological function, and Hormonal communication. Hormonal communication... hmmm. These are the things that send signals from our mind throughout the rest of our body to reproduce healthy cell regeneration. 

Did you know that our bodies were made to heal its self? It fights off disease and illness, it is made to cleanse its self, it is made to help muscle growth, when we fall and get hurt and scratch up our knee it heals its self with a new layer of skin... We know this right? When we start contaminating our bodies with too much of something that doesn't support any of the three functions I've mentioned above... we are making it harder for our bodies to reproduce healthy cellular growth. I'm trying to keep this extremely simple. I'll write another blog with the facts that can support this, but I just wanted to have a little heart to heart. Hopefully this can prod your brain a little to encourage you to do some of your own research. 

Although to help you out more I have some things that can make eating healthier a bit easier for me, which I hope can help you. 

1) I don't drink Soda! 
2) I hardly ever eat FAST FOOD! (Avg... 3 time within 2 months, if at all) 
3) I drink my Shakeology. It's the healthiest item I will ever consume. 

4) I eat a diet that consists of High Good Quality Lean Proteins, Lots of Fruit, Veggies and Healthy fats. What are these? I will write about those in my next blog.

5) I work out! I work out to P90X and will soon be adding the Full Turbo Fire program to my life.

The whole point is that YOU are in control of your thoughts, actions and emotions. Change your mind, Change your life! You can achieve anything you so desire. You just have to believe in yourself. I believe YOU CAN!

The Super Fish!

YUMMY! Salmon! 

Let's talk about Salmon and why it's soooooooo, sooooooo good for you. It is the heart-healthiest high-protein food of all. Where do I get this knowledge? From one of my most favorite books about food called, "The Perricone Promise". This book has changed my life views on food and how I can use it to help extend my life, regenerate my body, and keep my youth. Who doesn't want that? 

Salmon is a warrior for the body because of the magic it contains. There are so many benefits, for instance: 

Salmon contains Protein, which is good for building muscle, skin, hair, YOUR BRAIN (actually makes you smarter. Not just because of the protein, but also the oils that are in Salmon), also helps to burn fat if you are supporting your muscular strength with healthy high quality sources of protein. 

Most importantly and what most don't know is this... 

It is an Anti-Inflamatory (keeps insulin levels from spiking, reduces water weight, which reduces the feeling of being bloated etc). This Super Fish contains the best sources of long-chain omega-3 essential fatty acids. (EPA, DHA, and others). Omega-3's along with omega-6 and 9 help to balance Cholesterol levels. They help to burn unhealthy fat and boost the metabolism.
