The Super Fish!

YUMMY! Salmon!

Let's talk about Salmon and why it's soooooooo, sooooooo good for you. It is the heart-healthiest high-protein food of all. Where do I get this knowledge? From one of my most favorite books about food called, "The Perricone Promise". This book has changed my life views on food and how I can use it to help extend my life, regenerate my body, and keep my youth. Who doesn't want that?

Salmon is a warrior for the body because of the magic it contains. There are so many benefits, for instance:

Salmon contains Protein, which is good for building muscle, skin, hair, YOUR BRAIN (actually makes you smarter. Not just because of the protein, but also the oils that are in Salmon), also helps to burn fat if you are supporting your muscular strength with healthy high quality sources of protein.

Most importantly and what most don't know is this...

It is an Anti-Inflamatory (keeps insulin levels from spiking, reduces water weight, which reduces the feeling of being bloated etc). This Super Fish contains the best sources of long-chain omega-3 essential fatty acids. (EPA, DHA, and others). Omega-3's along with omega-6 and 9 help to balance Cholesterol levels. They help to burn unhealthy fat and boost the metabolism.

The Super Food contains astaxanthin: an anti-inflamatory and powerful anti-oxidant orange pigment that is equivalent to 450mg of vitamin E. It is known as "red gold from the sea" because it is a carotenoid ten times more potent than beta-carotene and a hundred times stronger than vitamin-E.

It is also a rare source of DMAE (dimethylethanolamine) the natural Human neurochemical proven to help improve muscle tone in the face, which REDUCES WRINKLES! Now THAT is FANTASTIC!!!

And this is WILD ALASKAN SALMON. NOT farmed salmon for reasons that it seems to contain manmade pollutants (PCBs, pesticides) of extremely high levels when farmed. Wild Salmon fishery is universally declared safe and sustainable where salmon farms have created environmental problems that have not been resolved.

So Enjoy that Super Food at least once a week, or should we call it a Super FISH!

  1. Awesomely written. I've taken just basic nutrition courses through college and what I learned there absolutely agrees with what you wrote here AND you covered even more of the benefits.

I hope more people find your blog and read it for what it's worth. I can't stand salmon, but I know others who can, would and do absolutely benefit from it.
